Welcome
I had a ball in the studio this afternoon and made this card ready for a baby shower tomorrow. I sort of got carried away with the flowers - something you don't often see a great proliferation of on my cards - even DH commented on the abundance of flowers. I felt I could use them as I don't have to post this card :-). I also made a swing card using the tutorial here on Splitcoast Stampers
The image is a Kiwi Stamping one - I stamped it in Walnut Stain DI then watercoloured it, cut it using a S/B circle die, and sponged it with Spun Sugar DI before removing the die.
The inside sentiment is by Stampendous, stamped using
Memento Iridescent Coral ink.
The corners were decorated with a range of layered flowers - the leaves had long stems, so I twisted them around a tooth pink and used them as further accents.
The centre flower here is Prima Hibiscus, and the smaller fabric one I think is also a Prima one. I added the rhinestones to match the one in the bears belly button.
This final detail were the wee wooden butterflies bought this week at a local $2 Shop - I added the bow of gold thread before adhering them with glue dots.
I am very happy with this card :-)

This is so lovely, Maxine! I think you should let yourself get carried away with flowers more often! The image is adorable too, and I love the little butterflies. I also like what you've done with the leaf stems, great idea!

ReplyDeleteHow adorable! You've managed to create two things I'm just horrible with: baby cards and fancy folds. I'm jealous!
ReplyDeleteLove this sweet card, with that super swing design. Admiring your w/coloring of the little bear, and your bouquets look very pretty with this design too. Like the tucked in wooden butterfly and good idea to dress it up with the tiny bow as you did. The Mom-to-be will love this one! TFS & happy wkend.
