Snippets For Di

Welcome ...
and a very special welcome to Jo from Jo's Stamp Shack and Studio 33, who is my newest follower.

This post is to honour Di from Pixies Snippets Playground
Di has run the challenge for seven years, keeping us all under some sort of control, and entertaining us with her stories of Parsnip, and more recently, Dudley.
Thank you Di for all you have done in the last 7 years!!
There is a wonderful blog hop that has been organised by Darnell as part of the celebrations

All the patterned paper, and die cuts, on this card are from snippets,
as is fitting for a tribute to Miss Di.

The die cuts come from a spellbinders stamp and die set, Memories... a NBUS set that was crying out to be used!!  I sanded the edges of the large panel before adhering it to the white card.

The leaves were cut from a green snippet, and the flower was cut from the other side of the panel paper, embossed and then sanded.
The wee piece of lace was trimmed (snipped)  from the side of a wide floral panel - I didn't need much!!
None of the photos really show the sparkle from the WoS on the leaves.

The smile, appropriate as Miss Di makes us smile with her tales of Dudley's antics, was cut and layered on three layers of white card, an orange layer that was slightly offset, and then the patterned paper.

The sentiment was stamped on the left of the inside of the card as it was so large - it is from KatzelKraft (another NBUS item).

I am linking this to:

  8. What a beautiful card Maxine! I am so loving the music paper snippet and the lacy on the edge. The flower and leaves are so pretty too and frame out the music paper so well and I love the thin drop shadow on the smile. A great use of snippets all the way around! Di will be so proud and a great way to honor Di. Hugs, Brenda
