Filigree Framed Scripture

Welcome,

I would like to give Joy from Joyfully Stamps an extra warm welcome as my newest follower.
Do pop over and visit her blog and enjoy her beautiful work.

This weeks card for Word Art Wednesday's new challenge came together very quickly

I printed the lovely scripture (the new freebie over at Word Art Wednesday) and die cut it using a Divinity Designs die - the largest one from Filigree Frames, adding some Golden Glitz ink to the edges before removing the die.

The wee, whimsical  'scene' at the bottom of the card was one I had coloured some years ago, and came across recently - I think it was a digi from the now defunct Layers of Color.  This was mounted over a layer of gold paper

The only embellishment was a simple gold bow on one end of the die

I finished the card inside with a couple of thin strips of gold washi tape.

  4. Maxine, I’m not sure which I like better the beautiful verse from Philippians, or the filigree frame. My heart tells me... the verse! This really is a stunning card!

  10. This is so stunning, Maxine. For me this is one of the best ones from your blog so far. I love how everything fits in so elegantly. The filigreed nestie looks wow and the hand coloured patch at the bottom is so so so cute. The touches of gold are so apt.

Thank you for always reading my blog posts and responding so sweetly to them. You are a star.

    Love,

  12. Very classy looking card Maxine. I must say I love the piece you have running across the base of the card, what a shame if it is no longer available. I would have been tempted to photocopy it, or would that be contravening copyright?
    Thanks for your good wishes.
    Hugs, & Blessings, Neet xx
