A Water Theme...

Welcome

I was recently asked to make a card for a woman who was turning 70.  In the course of the conversation with my customer, I learnt that the recipient lives near a lake, and that they are very 'environmentally aware' .

To make the card a wee bit more 'special' I decided to make this slanting tri-fold design, (aka a concertina fold) and used card made from recycled materials for the base, and papers from the Craftwise Ocean 6x6 pack of papers.

On the front panel the sentiment was stamped and embossed with Whisper Sugarloaf Green ink, cut with an old S/B die, which was embossed and the ink sponged around the edge before removing it from the die.
All the edges of the base and layers were also sponged with the ink.

The centre panel had the age die cut from silver sparkle card in the corner where it could be seen when the card was folded. The dark line through the paper is actually silver, so it all coordinated beautifully.

On the largest  panel of the card I layered this wonderful textural paper from the pack, the 'grey' stripes are actually a textural silver glitter!  I then simply added the embossed and fussy cut feather (from a NBUS STAMPlorations set, Feathery) to echo the 'found' one on the front.

This is the card opened out, with a white panel for the personal message.
I was very happy with this card, as was my customer.
