Apricot Layered Rose

Welcome

I would like to welcome another new follower - Regina S , who's blog is about crafts and her reflections on life - a encouraging read in these troubled times.

My card today was made out of bits and bobs on my desk...  I started with the background paper, which was some double sided paper that had been used to make an envelope to send a larger- than- average card to me... this was the inside

The layered rose was cut from snippets using an Altenew die that was a magazine freebie, and layered onto a stitched circle (M. B.) die, sponged with Faded Jeans DI whilst still in the die.

The leaves (using a Decorative Vines die by Kaisercraft)  and the sentiment banner were cut from a mottled green and blue paper from my stash.  It was highly absorbent and did not emboss well.
The sentiment was another magazine freebie. I cut the leaf vine in half to 'stretch it' the full length of the card, and hid the gap behind the rose panel.

The inside was decorated with some silk leaf ribbon, a freebie in an order from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
