Daisy, Daisy!

Welcome

I was lacking inspiration the other week when I made this, so it is a CASE of a magazine sample.
The embossing folder, dies and stamp were all freebies with the magazine

I changed the colours from pinks to blues, and altered the placement of the die cut oval to the right, and lower on the card front

Kept the flowers to one layer not two, and changed the sentiment to a birthday one, and also heat embossed it

I added some blue rhinestones (none on the original) and replaced the die cut grass across the bottom with a ribbon and bow.
After adhering the front panel, I realised it was slightly wonky, so added the 'stitching' to make it look intentional.
There are no mistakes, just embellishment opportunities, as a dear friend of mine would say :)

The inside was finished with a wee piece of sparkly sellotape (scotch tape)

  6. Love your design. The daisy like flowers are special. They remind me of spring. The tape is almost like a glittery bookmark. For a not inspired card this is inspiring.

  9. Glad I'm not the only one lacking inspiration. I love those magazines that has all the goodies in it. This is a cute card Maxine, I so love the daisy die! How fun is that embossing folder?! Raining little daisy, lol. I love the daisy's going around the oval like that, it is also a great place for the sentiment. The ribbon and bow is perfect and the little gems complete the look. Hugs, Brenda

  12. Nice to know that I am not the only one that lacks inspiration from time to time. I have had a few bumps in the road during the pandemic myself. It is a lovely card and a beautiful use of dies, embossing folder & powder. Thank you for sharing your spring card with us at Jan's Digi Blog Challenge. Good luck, stay safe and happy crafting!

  18. That's rather a pretty embossing folder, so I am glad you moved the oval a bit, so it didn't cover it so much. I always like daisies. They are so fresh lookinng. I love your quote - "There are no mistakes. just embellishment opportunities". That's spot on for me. Kate x

  20. Great card Maxine. As Kate says, a good idea to move the oval due to the EF background. I would never have though of doing that then cokced my head on one side wondering what wasn't right! Sigh.

  31. Poppies and daisies are my two favourite flowers although I love the smell of freesias and would fill my house with them if I could. I think it is the freshness of the daisy that draw me to it and I still remember sitting as a child and making daisy chains.
This is a beautiful card, love the embossing folder results and the flowers work so well with this as the background.
    Beautiful.
    Blessings, Neet xx
