Gold, Roses and Scripture

Welcome,

It's time once again for another challenge over at Word Art Wednesday, and this week our sponsor is Stamp Simply Clear Stamps

and there is a wonderful prize on offer of either two stamp sets, or one stamp and die set.

I so enjoyed making this card - it came together so quickly and I was very happy about it - until I realised I had not used the sponsors product that I had been so generously supplied with.... 😥

I made another card using the Stamp Simple products that I will blog tomorrow.

Our scripture this week, wonderfully presented by Karen Murray, is available free on the Word Art Wednesday blog site.

All the edges were embossed with WOW Glitter Gold embossing powder, and it really does glitter - I am so impressed!

This paper was so gorgeous, that the only embellishment was this gorgeous gold (elastic) cord, that has been begging to be used for far longer than I can remember!

I finished the inside with a strip of black from a trimming of the patterned paper.
I cannot recall the name of the paper, but I have had the 6x6 pad for a couple of years now.

  13. Beautiful card Maxine. I like the glitter on the edges.
I've done that before. I start the card, go off on a tangent with it, finish it and pleased with it - and then I realise that I haven't followed the theme or haven't used the sponsor's product.

  15. Beautiful card Maxine, the paper and gold glitter embossing does all the work for you, don't you just love it when the paper does the work?! The scripture fits so well on this beautiful paper. The gold glitter embossing powder is pretty cool looking and does indeed look sparkly! The gold cording works so well and is so perfect on this card. Hugs, Brenda

  23. I so love the flowers against the black and white background. I love it when the focal point takes over a corner and spreads along the two edges with one being longer than the other. The balance on this is just right and the gold cord adds that little air of final elegance.
    Blessings, Neet xx
