Masculine Washi Stripes

Welcome

Somehow this month has moved faster than me, and this week in particular.!
Or maybe I am moving more slowly - blame that on the 'big' birthday I had last year!!

I would like to welcome Amy of the Crafty Purple Frog as my newest follower

When I made this card I was lacking in inspiration, so 'sort of' cased a scrappy one, but used washi tape, not card, for the stripes.

I layered the tape over a diamond shaped piece of card, and then used a square die to cut the base card with a diamond shape.

I had fun sizing the original taped piece to fit in the card behind the aperture.. and ended up with some off cuts.

The card looked rather stark until I added some gold faux stitching on the edges, and a straight line to frame the aperture.
The sentiment was gold embossed

One of the off cuts was used to finish the inside.
