WAW Scripture and a Dragon Fly

Welcome

I would love to welcome my newest follower Donna of Duncan Street Designs.
Do pop over and see her wonderful work.

Today marks the start of another challenge at Word Art Wednesday,
this time sponsored by Seth Apter  Design , with a $25 voucher for the winner.

This was quite a quick card to make - I started with some dp, a long hoarded stored scrap. After looking at the colours on the printed edge, I added some extra DI in Tea Dye and Vintage Photo where I had trimmed it. .

I die cut and sponged scripture, and then moved it around the card with the green vellum Seth Apter die cut until I was happy with the design.

The dragonfly was cut from card sponged with C.P inks, - lemoncello, rouge and aquatini, and I then added some mini bling down the back.
The die was an unmarked one given to me by a friend.

  9. I like the shape of your text die and the dragonfly is beautiful colours. You have access to different companies than I do so I have not heard of Seth Apter and can't think what C:P: inks are, but both work fine on your card. Kate x

  10. Beautiful card Maxine! I love the scripture and the card design you came up with for it. The colors are so beautiful, I can almost feel a warm breeze and hear the rustle of the grass. The dragonfly is stunning in those colors and I love that you put one on the inside too. One of my favorite things to watch when I'm in the pool. They swoop down and fly by me all the time. Love dragonflies! Hugs, Brenda

  11. The colors dear Maxine! Warms the heart! And I love the dragonfly! Growing up I was super afraid of flying insects (or all insects) but lately I really appreciate it when I see dragonflies on my garden (but honest to say I'm still afraid of them)

  12. Well, that is a lovely card Maxine, and i am sure you had a lovely time making it. The background is lovely and the dragonfly looks great against it - I can imagine it is all shiny and shimmery.
I see the challenge is sponsored by Seth, he is a lovely man and I do miss going to the show in America and seeing him. One of the nicest men out there on the circuit.
    Hugs, Neet xx
