Welcome
Another birthday card, this time with a shaving creme and Brushos background
EDIT
For those of you thinking of trying this, sprinkle the Brushos onto the creme, give a couple of spritz's of water before putting your card onto it, then press fairly firmly into the mix before lifting it for the best results - moving the card gave the swirly effect on this one.
Made while I was at my friends place, the dies were all unmarked
Loved the wee butterfly die cuts - they came as a set of three and cut the surround and the centre in one pass - I just mixed and matched to get the result I wanted, then placed them on a flower over a circle so they did not get 'lost' on the busy background
Loved using this vertical die cut sentiment, also cut from the silver card the butterflies were cut from
A close up of the background, trimmings of which were used to decorate the inside

Loving that background Maxine, I've never thought of using Brushos with shaving foam, always stuck with acrylics but one to try.

The silver looks great on the blue shaving technique background! Hope you have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteLooks great Maxine, I have not tried Brusho's with shaving cream, it looks such a fun technique
ReplyDeleteMaxine: There's nothing sad about this full of blues card!!! It is very lovely! Your shaving cream with ink made background cardstock is terrific! Adding circles and flowers under the butterflies just increased the springtime look! Well done!

ReplyDeleteHi Maxine. I have missed several of your posts while I have been away, so I have picked the one, which to me is the prettiest, to comment on. I love the blue swirly background. You make good use of your brushos. Now here is another one for me to try. I last used shaving foam when I was working in the nursery. The children loved it, but I am still a child at heart so I will have a play. I always like flowers and butterflies, so altogether a lovely card. Kate x

Am wondering which colour of Brusho you used to get this colour result. it is gorgeous! Thanks for the tip about using Brusho's with the shaving foam. Must try it - think Saturday will be a shaving foam day.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely card, such pretty butterflies and what a good idea to put them on a flower so that they did not get lost in the background.
