Welcome
Some of you wanted to see the (correct) 60th Anniversary card, so here it is.
As it was VERY difficult to photograph, there are only two shots
I embossed the panel, with the Altenew Flowers and Leaves 3D folder using a pink metallic card, and sanded lightly to bring out the 'high points'. This was a tribute to the lady's love of floral work, and mounted it on a metallic blue card base - I used this marine blue card to acknowledge the gent's love of fishing.
The sentiment was embossed using silver ep, and the digits were die cut, from the blue card. I mounted them onto some cream metallic paper to provide contrast for them to show up.
I added clear rhinestones on the stamens and centres of the flowers, under the sentiment, and on the digits, to symbolise that is is their 60th (Diamond) anniversary.
For those of you who made have heard of our weather situation, here is a link to show the progress of the ex Tropical Cyclone currently pounding us - we are pretty much in the centre of the North Is and feeling the effects with strong winds and rain, but are really not as badly hit as so many other areas.
I am linking this card to:
Vert pretty Card Maxine, I am sure they will love the thought that went into it. Getting wetter and wilder here tonight!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful Maxine, it is difficult to photo but you've captured all the dimension.

Beautiful Maxine. Love the story behind the colours and embossing on the card. It really makes a beautiful card come together.
ReplyDeleteWow! This 3D card is absolutely stunning! I love it! So elegant!
ReplyDeleteWeather: Aweful!! We had almost the same weather here in N-Norway last wednesday, but it was much colder. Wind 35-43, themp. 3C.
Take care <3 Hugs
Beautiful Anniversary card for the loving couple. Many Congratulations to them! The embossed background is gorgeous using the metallic card. Thanks for joining us at the Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge.

WOW! Maxine, this is stunning. The embossed background really is amazing and the other elements of the card add to its beauty.
ReplyDeleteMaxine, great job photographing that mirror CS. It's so hard to do without catching a reflection, or hiding the minor blemishes. These "new-fangled" cameras really do catch every little scratch or piece of lint - something the naked eye does not see until the photo is taken. Thanks for the inspiration this morning - your card is lovely! How nice to see your creation at Jan’s Digi Stamp Challenges . Thanks for the inspiration, and I hope to see more of your designs soon.

ReplyDeleteMaxine the card looks very lovely. We are preparing for a winter storm but I'm not sure how bad it will be.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, love so much that 3D folder and the mirri cardstock gives it a very elegant feel!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the difficult to photograph. This is an exceptionally well done photo. The card is gorgeous. I am sure that in person it is even more so. Love the attention to details.
ReplyDeleteLove, Hugs and Blessings

ReplyDeleteOh wow is this beautiful Maxine!! LOVE IT! I that embossing folder is so pretty and I love how you sanded to give more depth and texture. I bet this is a real stunner IRL!
ReplyDeletePs... I wasn't aware my comment box wasn't appearing! Guess it's a good thing I was in the mood to change up my blog template 🥰💕 Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Wow, this one is every bit as elegant and stunning as the "oops" card! I can see why you were asked to do this anniversary card, it is stunning! I love that embossing folder and I am so loving the pink mirror card. The blue and pink are so lovely together and I love how you gave a nod to both the husband and the wife. The "diamonds" are perfect since it is their diamond anniversary. Love, love, love this card too! Oh wow Maxine, I hope you have stayed safe, your weather looks horrible. We have had high winds, but not rain to go with it thankfully and no Tropical Cyclones! Be safe! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous and, I'm sure, the couple loved it, especially with the lovely thoughts behind it. I hope your storms have cleared, Maxine, I have been so sorry to see all the damage it's caused.
ReplyDeleteKeep safe.

Stunning card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic card this is. The embossing is certainly 3D and creates such a beautiful card but I think it is enhanced by the choice of card you used as well. Great thought! I bet it was loved by the recipients.
ReplyDeleteThe news here in the UK has carried many pictures and videos of the terrible time you are having over there, thanks for sharing and letting us know you are safe.
God Bless, Neet xx
Super texture and fabulous anniversary card.
ReplyDeleteI know how it must shine! Beautiful!

Hi Maxine, glad to hear you were safe during Cyclone Gabrielle passing over NZ, it is not something I can remember being reported on here in Aus before a ex-cyclone hitting NZ with such ferocity! Love your very special card for your friends anniversary, the embossing looks great with the light sanding. Have a wonderful week... Megan
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Maxine, yes I agree a very hard one to get a good photo of, but you have done well.
