Sometime ago I made several backgrounds using the salted background technique.
For this background I used the Tsukineko Rainbow ink pad Cappuccino, and applied it direct to the paper, and then ran the darkest colour across the top to 'fill' the card.

I then stamped one end of the background with some trees, masking and stamping off to give some dimension.

There was another tree stamped on the opposite end, and a sentiment gold embossed.

The feature panel was mounted over a cream card sponged with Tea Dye DI, then mounted over a dark brown base.

So very pretty Maxine. I will have to check out this salt technique (think I've run across it, but senior moment, you know). It's very effective on your background, and the tree stamp masking created such lovely perspective to your card (is that the right terminology?) Well lots of dimension anyway! Loved the soft colors of that Cappucino pad too. TFS & Hugs.
I tried this technique a while ago, but my card did not turn out nice with it at all...
But your card looks fabulous using this tecnique...really like the background...with the pretty colors!
