Welcome
Firstly I would like to welcome Mariannn Jakobsen to my blog as a new follower - unfortunately I have not been able to find if she has a blog. Thank you for following me Mariann.
This card was for another family member who loves to fish, and I have used that same fish stamp on it. At first glance it is difficult to see, but it is there!
I randomly stamped the image with Versamark ink, and then put perfect pearls,( perfectly pearl) over it! The light catches it beautifully in the photo below
The sentiment was stamped with Faded Jeans DI, using a very old stamp.
The feature part of the card was a die cut I made when I had borrowed a friends die - there is no name in the packet with this one, so I am assuming it is unbranded.
I coloured the panel with Lyra Aqua Crayons then moved the pigment with water. When I was happy with it, I mounted a piece of mixed media paper behind it that had been coloured using Brushos. I love the variations in the colours in the 'sky' area. To give the water some differentiation, I painted it with Iridescent Medium, and then another layer of blue from the crayons. The water ended up with a sheen on it, but not too 'fancy' for a masculine card!
This inside was finished with a strip of Sparkly Green scotch tape.

I love this tree and how cool you went over it with water. I am sure the bg sparkles with the sparkly fish. I could catch it pretty well. The sentiment looks like the old fashioned calligraphy font and is perfect for this dreamy card. Love the blue water too.
Take care, my dear blog buddie,
Monica
WOW! How creative! I love how you subtly added the fish! Fun!
SO pretty - and yes, I can see the fish! Love the tree too - and it reminds me a place Jim and I used to go fishing.....dead tress all over the lake and so pretty!

I love the tree and the way you used the fish stamp on the card. It is lovely! A perfect masculine card. Hugs.
That tree looks very beautiful! It reminds me of a tree pendant I saw on a jewelry store that I thought was very beautiful! Those fish stamps added classy accents to the card, I love it! By the way, thank you so much Maxine for visiting my blog and providing very helpful tips for my roses, I will definitely follow them :) Hope to see you again on my blogs :)
Hugs from the Philippines!

Maxine: Love this card in how you designed it!!! The shimmering fish that are just a hint of subtle design depending on how the light hits it are such the unexpected surprise feature on the front! And the tree meadow/farm scene is delightful too! You've made a wonderful masculine birthday card!

This certainly is a lovely card Maxine. I like that die that you used and the way you coloured it in. I saw someone paint with water before the colour yesterday and it was so effective.
