Flowers for a Friend

Welcome

I needed a birthday card in a hurry, and chose to use this Katy  Sue printed sheet of images
They are pop-out images, with no white edges, which gives a stunning result.

I chose this pansy image as my friend loves pansies!

They decoupage beautifully - it's a bit fiddly, but well worth the effort.
The only thing I added to the image was some light penciling under the vase to form a shadow to 'ground' the image.

I embossed the sentiment, a very old clear stamp, with glitter gold embossing.
The white panel was inked with yellow around the edges

The inside panel has a strip of yellow washi tape, some of which was also added to the envelope.

Hi Maxine, I was so surprised to get your comment on my blog - it has been so very long for me to post. It really made me mist up that you took the time to compliment my tiny cards. Thank you so very much. I really like your vase of flowers, they look like they jump right off of the page! Have a beautiful day. Blessings, Barb

Those pansies look stunning and your sparkly sentiment is the perfect compliment. Nothing else is needed. The recipient will absolutely love it xx

Hi Maxine, a stunning card, Love the pansies in so many colours. If you had not told us you added the pencil shadow I would have thought it part of the design. Have a wonderful week... Megan

Well, hello, Maxine! I was going to send you an email, but thought I would check your blog first and here you are! Sorry if you told me, but I thought you were still playing with other crafts. I also love pansies and, wow, this looks just like real flowers that pop right off the white card! She will treasure it!! Hugs, Darnell

This is beautiful. I love pansies, they have such individual faces, some are cheeky which make me smile.
I liked that they do not have a white edge, they look so good decoupaged like that.
Great card Maxine.
Blessings, Neet xx
