Welcome
I first started a new post on the 20th of last month - then lost my USB stick with all my card photos on...
I made and posted this just last weekend, and it was delivered on Monday - I think the local posting box I use had superpowers!!
This card was made for a swap group I am in, and the challenge was to make an interactive card
For some reason I dislike making interactive cards, but a challenge needs to be taken!!
I discovered this technique on a You Tube video here by an S.U. Demo, Trevis.
The butterfly panel rotates as the cover is opened and sits above the inner panel
It's actually quite a simple make, and the video was very clear
My biggest problem was trying to get the butterfly image done - initially I tried it on another piece of the patterned paper - but it was cheap (and nasty) paper that absorbed the medium I used to stamp
I was going to foil the image using this technique by Natasha Foote,
But after numerous failed attempts, I gave up and stamped the image on pale green card, embossed it with sparkly gold ep, and added some purple using a ball point pen, and was finally satisfied with it
The hello was an old Avery Elle die - I cut it in gold paper, which was too close in tone to the patterned paper, so I layered it up over orange card!
A few Champagne rhinestones finished the card with a wee bit of sparkle.

Lovely butterfly card, the pop out butterfly panel is such fun. Thank you for joining us at We Love Stamping this month. Emma
I don't much like making interactive cards either, so I know how you felt. It has turned out brilliantly though. I am sure your butterfly looks just as good heat embossed as it would have foiled. Sometimes you just have to go for the easiest option. Thank you for your kind visits to me a lovely comments xx
Gosh that is a wonderful card Maxine - I had not seen the interactive ones before. Looks like lots of work in that one! I am wondering if it is chilly over there as it most certainly is here!!! I am sitting typing this with a hottie in my lap!!!
Hope you have a lovely weekend Maxine. xx
Love the model of the card! And the soft colors go so well with the butterfly! Hugs, Gerrina
Persistence paid out Maxine, the stunning butterfly makes this gorgeous card, well done
Sorry you've lost your photos though. No fun.
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz.x 🙏🏻🤗
Such a beautiful card Maxine, so pretty. I see you've had a break as well, blogging can get a bit stressful at times can't it - it's good to see you back.

Oh my goodness Maxine, I just love this card! It seems like the butterfly is flying out when opened. I am not good with fancy folds or interactive cards. I will have to get a bit more brave to try something like this. Beautiful card! The recipient will love it so much!
So nice to see you back in blogland and your card is absolutely beautiful! A great interactive design!
Thanks so much for sharing at my Crafty Wednesdsay challenge too!
