Welcome
I started to 'blog' this over a week ago, and am only just now sitting down to finish it - the house is finally quiet, tidy, and back to just Darby and Joan and the cat!!
This card started with a piece of TH embossed Kraft card that I had puddled some distress stains and Picket Fence stain onto, and then it sat in the 'someday' box until now
It was embossed in a S/B gears 3-D folder, and a Delicata Gold ink pad was swiped over it
This shows the whole panel, with some of the gleam of the gold ink.
The grasses are a retired Hero Arts stamp, that I coloured with two inks using the rock and roll method. I also masked the lower images to achieve the three images the length of the panel.
The sentiment was stamped on matching card with espresso ink, and both panels were swiped over the pad to give them a fine edge. The panels were then attached with gold brads, and the whole mounted over a dark brown base.

May your day be blessed.

Oh that Delicata shows up so beautifully on those gears. Love the texture of the gears against the stain & the (looks like newsprint?). So very effective & grungy, but yet still looks most elegant. Also really liked the way you've added the grasses as another pretty element with the tiny brads. Really wonderful card, Miss Maxine. Let me thank you for all the visits & sweet comments over 2014, and wish you & yours a wonderful 2015. Am I understanding that perhaps your company has moved now, or perhaps just away for the holidays? It's aways nice to get your space back when you've had extra folks staying. Big hugs & TFS
What a great card Maxine - I love the Delicata - one of my favourite Inks. Fabulous mix of texture and images - well done! {{{hugs}}}
Gorgeous colours, design and wonderful image/s used...xx{The Journey is the Start – my personal blog}
Awesome card Maxine. Love the design.
I'm lovin' this card. So masculine...the gold ink really brings out the embossing. Christmas Blessings to you and yours.
Love the Gold on the raised embossing- very pretty with the side panel. Glad you are enjoying the quiet in the house and are back to creating!
This is a wonderful creation with great attention to detail. It is perfect for our 22nd ‘ANYTHING GOES’ challenge. Thanks for sharing your talent with us. Good luck.

Very, very nice, Maxine! I love that grass panel. And that lovely panel from your "Someday Box"? Fantastic!
Hi Maxine, wow, that sounds quite complex! But the result is really cool! Thanks for joining us over at Challenge up your life!
Wow, what an awesome project, Maxine! I have things put away too. Some images and embellishments I reserve for future use which ends up being forgotten. I am glad you were able to make a wonderful card out of it and love the embossing and the inking a lot. Wonderful combination on techniques here. I don't know with you but now that I have quite a bit of tools and stuff, it is hard at times to decide what to use when creating. Have you ever encountered the same problem. I have to deal with it all the time. I just thank God that after I calmed down, God sees me through. Anyway, I would also like to thank you for the awesome comments you've left my Blog as I go through posting one CAS card after another. There's a few more to go and you are amazingly encouraging me every step of the way. Have a blessed day and praying for favor upon favor from the Lord as you enter the New Year. Stay sweet as always.
Hugs and blessings,
