Metal and Flowers

Welcome

Yesterday I made this card using a new to me technique that Karen Hasheck uses, but I altered it (unintentionally, put it down to stress) and did not put the Versamark ink on the embossing folder, rather I simply dropped the embossing powder over the embossed surface and heated it from behind....

After preparing the base panel, I decided to cut the flower from double sided paper and reverse the layers to give definition to the petals, and also curled them to give some dimension.

I added a wee bit of the ribbon under the brad before securing the layers together.

The sentiment was cut using a S/B die, out of the green side of the paper, and then it was mounted over a pink and cream layers of card before adhering to the double embossed panel.

The final detail was a length of ribbon and a bow added to the base of the panel before being mounted to the pink base.

I'll bet this card is amazing IRL, Maxine! Way to go with making your own "Maxine Technique" and I think your use of reversible paper for the blossom was inspired!! Hugs, Darnell

Your accident with the versamark technique was serendipity for sure...this is a wonderful metallic look, on a splendid EF to show it off so well. And the flower - yummy embellie, the reversed petal structure looks great and loving those colors. TFS, Hugs & Prayers too!

That is a super crd and thank you for all the details of how you made it. I haven't done double embossing for quite a while now, something I must remember to use.
I hope that making your crafty things helps relieve some of the stress you mention, I remember cake icing helping me a long time ago.
Sending love and Blessings to you and DH
