I had fun making this card - yes, it is similar to one I made a while back, but the process for the background was different.
I started by trying the wet on wet technique to water colour, but it didn't do what I wanted, maybe because I was using mica based paints. I used two blues and a green, but the green does not show in these photos.
When it was dry, I sprinkled on some Magicals in Whale Watch Blue, then wet them with water and a layers of blue mica based spray.... you can see the sheen above.
I die cut the circles in a semi-matt silver card, and stamped and embossed the fish on the same card. This time I mounted the fish half way through one of the circles, lifting the front half with thin foam dots.
The sentiment was embossed in silver directly onto the water colour paper, which somehow always seems to absorb it. I then mounted that panel over a medium blue cardstock.
