Sorry to have been Missing In Action again, but life has been really stressful and busy, and blogging and visiting blogs has taken a hit as a result.
The card is what was swapped, not the nail polish - the nail polish was used to make the marbled background.
I followed a couple of You Tube tutorials here and here - the main hint I would give is that this technique is best done outside, and that the paper is left to dry outside too.
I used water colour paper for the marbling, and found that when I went to emboss on it, the emossing seems to sink into the paper, and is not as raised or shiny as on plain card.
I kept the card simple to show off the marbling, so only added a matching organza ribbon and a few flat back rhinestones

I do love this card and technique but last time I used it I was surely not in a well ventilated area...phew....looks good though.x

Beautiful marbled design from the nail polish technique, Maxine. I'm guessing that it is a bit messy and maybe lots of fumes so that's why you suggested outside. :) xx

Loving that background - must investigate the links you provided (thanks) and thank you also for the tip of using the nail polish outside - I can imagine the smell can be a bit overpowering.

Wow! This is so pretty! I love how yours turned out. I agree, it's best done outside! My cat runs away when I open the polish. I have a stack of backgrounds to use on upcoming projects. I like your sheer ribbon and pretty flowers! Great card! I hope things will be more peaceful for you soon!
