Lovely Lavender

Welcome

This card started with a 'reject' on my desk - I had made a card earlier that I was not happy with, so I took some elements off, and remade it!

The embossed panel was already adhered with the blue bakers twine behind it, so I worked from there.  The base is a subtle metallic blue card.

The speckled panel was from my 'promise box', a trimming/snippet off a full 6x6 piece of paper, which I have no idea where it came from!

The die cut is a Memory Box one that I borrowed - it appears to be discontinued.
I coloured it with chalks and adhered to the patterned paper

The embossing folder has a 'bon voyage' sentiment on it that I did not want, so the paper covered it nicely, but I know the recipient would love to travel.

The sentiment was stamped with Catherine Pooler Queen for a Day ink, die cut using a S/B Card creator  die from the Modern Stationery set, embossed and brushed with more ink before removing it from the die.

The inside of the card was brushed with more ink, and an (Hero Arts)  Eiffel Tower stamped in London Fog ink on the left side of the inner liner.

Hi Maxine,

The lavender falls nicely into place with the Eiffel Tower. I love the softness of lavender.

The soft grey and purple makes it look so pleasing and loved the embossed and diecut variations of texture Maxine. And I always admire you for keeping your inside of the card so interesting!

Such a lovely card. I love lavender, (the flower), and I use that range of colours a lot. All the little details are just right and it is perfect when the insert follows the theme on the front. Kate x

What a beautiful card Maxine! Wonderful soft colours, love the embossed Eiffel Tower, splattered background and of course the wonderful MB die cut. Yes, it does seem to be discontinued - they now do a corner one which is much busier and doesn't look quite as elegant.

Hugs

Di xx
