Welcome
I quick post today - I have surfaced from the craziness of cleaning and packing to share this card.
The challenge in our swap group last month was to use the iron-off resist technique, as demonstrated by Jennifer McGuire.
I used a Stampendous stamp called Bandanna Background, which is slightly too small for our card, so I split the stamped panel and put the sentiment in the centre, directly onto the base card.
After stamping and clear embossing the design, I then randomly sponged over it with Catherine Pooler inks - I was happy with the result, so ironed off the embossing,,, but forgot to wipe the ink off the embossing first, so the result below means I have to really think as to how I am going to use it!!
When I went to mount the coloured panel, I had difficulty finding a card to really complement the panels, and ended up layering it on red, then onto the rich cream base. I then used the same Rouge Red ink from the sponged panel to stamp the sentiment.
The inside of the card was finished simply with the edge of the white panel run over the red ink pad, and then some washi tape added.

This is so interesting, Maxine! I haven't heard of this technique - but I spend my days scrambling, lol, so I am sure I miss a lot! I wish I could give you a hand with the packing - hugs!
A lovely result Maxine
Wow what a stunner of a card and a fun and unique technique x.
Oh I love Those! You are so creative!
Wishing you all the best with packing etc. and hope your move goes well.
I like the vibrancy of the card you have made here :)
Gorgeous Maxine. Love you chose such beautiful bright colours.
Wow, another technique there, Maxine. Looks so lovely and what a fab idea to have cut the stamped image into two pieces. I can do that too with embossing folders which are small for my card base.
The bandana stamp is actually like a bandana.
Hope house moving is working out okay.
Take care,
M
A beautiful card Maxine, a super technique and good idea to split the stamped panel to make it fit - the red base panel is perfect.

This card turned out just beautiful. I have to check out that technique!
Thank you for the Anniversary wishes!
I've seen JMG do this technique and thought it was so cool and looked like a lot of fun, but never tired it. I love how your card came our Maxine!! I love that stamp you used and I love how you decided to put the sentiment in the middle to make it the length of your card. Looks so good! I think the one panel you did where you forgot to wipe off the ink is so pretty too, I just know you will come up with a fabulous card with it! Sounds like you are pretty busy with all your packing, getting ready for the move. I hope it all goes well for you!! Hugs, Brenda

This technique is both very creative and also very dynamic dearest Maxine! plus the paisley design, oh I am a big lover of that pattern! Thank you for sharing this colorful card to us :)
Love the resist technique and love any videos by Jennifer McGuire, she explains them beautifully and provides ample samples.
This is a lovely card you have created for us to look at and what a good idea to split the card in half to cover up a join in a smaller stamp. Hats off to you Maxine.
Blessings, Neet xx
