I almost went totally digital with this card - almost - I did colour the cupcake!
The teddy bear image is a freebie from Sobriety Stamps. Barb has some wonderful freebies on her site, and i encourage you to visit.
I die cut the image using a Sizzex stitched oval die, then brushed the edges lightly with some blue ink.
The cup cake image is from Pattie's Creations, and I painted it with mica paints, mounted it over some glitter card, and added the matching die cut numeral
As the patterned paper left a narrow border top and bottom, I added faux stitching to tie in with the oval die cut.
I added a strip of the paper to the inside to finish.

Maxine, this is such a sweet birthday card! The eyes of the darling bear are grabbing my attention, but there's also so much more to love about the card. Well done!

That little teddy bear has such appealing eyes, I just want to give him a hug. This is such a pretty card Maxine, I like the blue paper you chose for the background and the way you echoed the colouring in the icing on the cupcake. Perfect with that glittery 'one' and the oval surrounding it. A perfect card for a tiny one.
