Welcome
Thank you for once again visiting my blog
This card was made for a Brother in Law who once served in the navy, so it has a bit of a marine theme to it...
At least the papers I used did :) They are from an old KaiserCraft pad.
The card concept came from a video by Natasha Foote, here. Thanks for the inspiration, Natasha.
The card fold is a basic gatefold, but with three alternating tags/flags adhered on the top.
The sunlight makes it look as though I had two different papers on the outside panels, but I can assure you they were the same!!
I kept the paper on the centre tag plain, and added the sentiment onto that, and three blue embossed brads down one end. The sentiment is one from a freebie sheet from Natasha Foote Creative
The top and bottom tags I used pattern paper on, and added a strip off another paper through the centre, then added white dots with a gel pen for added accents
The side panels inside had patterned papers added, and the central panel was left free for writing on, apart from the washi tape, that I also added to the envelope.

Maxine, this is a great guy card - the unique fold is fun!
Maxine, this is such a great card! I love the marine look and feel to the card, and the way it opens is really cool! I saved the video so I can make this design later. I subscribed to her too. I love the colors you've chosen, and the brads are really nice too. I love how you decorated the inside of the card as well. Your brother-in-law will love this for sure. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Word Art Wednesday! :)
Fun card design, Maxine. Great masculine colors!
What a great masculine card. Love the way you have used those flags. They add interest to the simple monochrome design xx
Great card Maxine. Looks amazing.
Such a clever design and card, love the naval theme, clever you. x
I love that you made this unique with an naval slant. The take on naval signal pendants is neat. Nice job. Loving it.
Hugs and Blessings
A wonderful masculine card Maxine. You always do such a great job of the masculine ones yet I feel that they would be quite hard to do & think of all the different ideas.
Wishing you a great weekend Maxine, still cold over here & those winds have been dreadful. xx
Thank you for joining The Male Room blog challenge. I like how you did the banners.
Beautiful, masculine and creative.
A great, masculine card – and a fantastic card format! I love this double-gatefold card decorated with pennants. Wonderful paper – it instantly evokes a maritime flair! I also particularly like the white dots in the center of the wheels.
Thank you so much for entering this fantastic card into the current “Everybody Art Challenge”!
Hugs, Uschi

This is a fantastic masculine card! Masculine cards are not the easiest to make but you really pulled it off! The banners are such a cool element!
