Welcome
There is nothing more welcome to me than the first rose of Spring, so that is what I chose for my card for the We Love Stamping Challenge this month, where the theme is Spring.
The stamp is an Altenew layered rose, that I stamped using the Altenew Rose Petal bundle of die inks, and the leaves in assorted green inks that I had on hand.
The images were then fussy cut, and adhered to the card using foam dots for some subtle dimension.
The edges of the panel were foiled using a glue stick and adding bronze foil over that
The sentiment, an Hero Arts greeting from the Handwritten Messages Set was heat embossed using a mixture of copper and gold ep, mixed until I got a colour close to the foiling.
To finish I added some pink iridescent adhesive gems on the rose and near the sentiment - you can just catch the sparkle in the above photo.
The panel was them added to a pink card stock base
A strip of washi tape finished the inside of the card

Beautiful card Maxine! Pretty rose, and I love the foiled edges! I stepped out of my comfort zone a tiny bit this weekend and bought a pack of 3 pearlized spritzers (Tim Holtz) from Hobby Lobby. Definitely gives a ton of texture, but not quite sure what the right project would be for it. LOL! Snowing again today in Oregon - pining for Spring!
What a gorgeous card Maxine.
Lovely card Maxine, so cheerful with the gold foiling to enhance the beautiful rose!
A pretty Rose card Maxine, always look forward to ours appearing.

Such a beauty, Maxine! I love the foiled edges... with a glue stick? Amazing! I'm going to have to give that a try sometime.
Very pretty framed in the foil! Thanks so much for joining us at Beyond the Blue!
This is so gorgeous Maxine and I love the lovely embossing at the sides.

You are right, roses are amazing and this little pink spring rose is very special. Love the gold embossing too xx
Lovely card Maxine. I have never seen that sentiment stamp before - so different and I want one! CarolG
It is a beautiful rose! And I love that fun text! Hugs, Gerrina
This is a lovely card, the coloring of rose and leaves are just perfect and putting two of the embellishments on the rose is such a nice touch and one I've never done but will do in the future! The designer embossing of the sentiment is just beautiful as well as the foil frame...a technique you do well. Thanks for being such an encourager in my life...I look forward to meeting you on "that" day!
Smiles, Kathy

There's nothing more exciting than seeing signs of spring! Love your card Maxine, the rose (which I think I have as well) is just gorgeous. Love how you did the foiling around the mat layer and love that you thought to mix embossing powders to match it! I've got to tuck that away in my brain to remember to try! LOL The pink gems are perfect and give nice sparkle. Hugs, Brenda
Maxine, your card is beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing with us at 613 Avenue Create!

Such a pretty card. I love the gold foil edging around the card and on the sentiment. Thanks for joining us at Pattie's Creations. Maggie, DT
What a beautiful card. You have certainly used the Altenew stamp to perfection, you have the various layers matched up so well.
I do like the embossing you have done around the edges of the foiling, the mixture has worked so well and I might just copy that at some time if you don't mind.
Blessings, Neet xx
