Simple but Sparkling Sympathy

Welcome

No, I don't need another sympathy card for myself, rather I have had a request for some!

I started with this rose image, a freebie from STAMPlorations, one that was only available for a limited time, but I have linked to the page where the current freebie is available.

I coloured the rose with watercolours, and added some clear Wink of Stella over it - Oh I love me my WoS!!  The image was then cut with a S/B floral Oval die, and a wee bow added.

The sentiment is from ODBD and was stamped in black Staz On ink on vellum.
The patterned paper is from an Amy Tangerine stack, and I embossed it with the Swiss Dots folder, as what I had thought was a random pattern turned out to be mini cameras, and I wanted to disguise it somewhat... this was mounted over an off-white base after all the edges had been sponged with blue ink.

Thank you for visiting my blog - may your day be blessed
Any comments you may leave are deeply appreciated

This is very pretty Maxine. You do better with WoS pens than I do. I only have the clear one but I don´t think it adds much sparkle, not like your rose anyway. I also had to make a Sympathy card this week, and hopefully I´ll do a post about it later tonight. Kate x
