Daisy, Daisy!

Welcome

I was lacking inspiration the other week when I made this, so it is a CASE of a magazine sample.
The embossing folder, dies and stamp were all freebies with the magazine

I changed the colours from pinks to blues, and altered the placement of the die cut oval to the right, and lower on the card front

Kept the flowers to one layer not two, and changed the sentiment to a birthday one, and also heat embossed it

I added some blue rhinestones (none on the original) and replaced the die cut grass across the bottom with a ribbon and bow.
After adhering the front panel, I realised it was slightly wonky, so added the 'stitching' to make it look intentional.
There are no mistakes, just embellishment opportunities, as a dear friend of mine would say :)

The inside was finished with a wee piece of sparkly sellotape (scotch tape)

Tea (or Coffee) and Best Wishes

Welcome

As promised - the card I made for the Word Art Wednesday challenge using the sponsors image.😊
Our sponsor is Stamp Simply Clear Stamps, who have donated an awesome prize for the winner.

I used the set Coffee or Tea Duo that has both the most elegant stamps and die cuts

I combined it with paper and cut outs from the Kaiser Craft Rose Avenue designer paper

Love this elegant cup, and the steam, tag and stamp are also from the Stamp Simply set,
stamped and edged in Memento Rhubarb ink.  I shaded the cup lightly with prisma color pencils

The stamp was also used with the rhubarb ink - I didn't realise that the dots on the paper were slightly 'plastic-y' and the ink did not adhere to them...

Loved that the sentiment was in the cut outs in the pad of paper.
once I was satisfied with the layout, and had assembled all the elements, I then mounted it over a piece of rose gold thin card, which really bought the whole card to life

The inside of the card was finished with some washi tape.

Gold, Roses and Scripture

Welcome,

It's time once again for another challenge over at Word Art Wednesday, and this week our sponsor is Stamp Simply Clear Stamps

and there is a wonderful prize on offer of either two stamp sets, or one stamp and die set.

I so enjoyed making this card - it came together so quickly and I was very happy about it - until I realised I had not used the sponsors product that I had been so generously supplied with.... 😥

I made another card using the Stamp Simple products that I will blog tomorrow.

Our scripture this week, wonderfully presented by Karen Murray, is available free on the Word Art Wednesday blog site.

All the edges were embossed with WOW Glitter Gold embossing powder, and it really does glitter - I am so impressed!

This paper was so gorgeous, that the only embellishment was this gorgeous gold (elastic) cord, that has been begging to be used for far longer than I can remember!

I finished the inside with a strip of black from a trimming of the patterned paper.
I cannot recall the name of the paper, but I have had the 6x6 pad for a couple of years now.

A Sparkly Hoot

Welcome

I meant to be back waaaaaaay before this, but real life has a habit of butting into my plans!

I enjoyed making this card.
I started with a digi owl image, a freebie from Jane's Doodles, and coloured him with metallic pens

The sentiment was computer generated, printed on vellum, and embossed with WOW black Glitter ep

This shows the sparkle of the metallics

I trimmed the image panel down, and mounted it onto black card that I had wound gold thread around, and also splattered with gold paint to make a starry sky impression.
That was them mounted over dark blue card

This inside had a strip of  gold metallic dotted washi down one side.

House Mouse Love

Welcome

Some time ago I won a House Mouse image from Mia in her Birthday giveaway - I love these images and I was so happy to (finally) receive this one this past week, which I inked up and coloured in very short notice :)

I coloured it with my Faber Castell Polychromo pencils.  I wanted it to take the eye, so I framed part of it with a snippet of purple card, then mounted it on the lemon coloured card base

The sentiment was stamped using CP  Rouge ink, and the rhinestones added top and bottom

To add a wee bit more bling, I layered clear WoS over the violets.

The inside was decorated with some washi tape.

Circles and Stripes and Gold Thread

Welcome

This is the first challenge for 2021 for Word Art Wednesday,
our sponsor is Taylored Expressions, and they are providing a $30 voucher for the winner.

The wonderful scripture was designed by Karen Murray, and is available free on the Word Art Wednesday blog site.

This month I decided to go with a tall and slender card format, no, not following the slimline trend, but rather making the most of the piece of patterned paper that was on my desk, and had been there waaaay longer than I can remember- well before I moved!!

I chose some card that matched, and folded the (half A4) sheet to form the card base.
As the edge was very plain, and I have no extra long embossing folders, I scored a random geometric pattern with a bone folder, and highlighted it by sponging on some tea dye DI ink very gently.

I printed out the scripture with a green background to match the paper, then die cut it with a stitched rectangle die, and mounted it over some loosely coiled, very fine gold thread

Below the feature panel I added some banners, cut from the snippet of paper that I had trimmed - it was two sided paper, so I could get the differing orientation of the stripes

Review of 2020....

Welcome

Happy New Year to all my followers and guests - may this year be better than last for each and every one of you.
I appreciate your support and visits, and I trust that this year I will be more diligent in visiting and commenting than I have been the last few months.

I am a few days later than most in doing this review, but here it is .  Click on the name of the month to go to the original post, should you want to - I won't comment to any great degree.

This was a difficult month to choose.... but I stuck to just one

Another month that I found hard to choose just one card....

I hope you have enjoyed this glimpse into my past years projects.
