Blue Bird of (Birthday) Happiness

Welcome - I do hope you have all had a Blessed Easter, a wonderful break with family and friends and are enjoying the weather, no matter which hemisphere you are in.

I enjoyed making this card - I started with the paper, added the bright yellow card, and then remembered these die cuts the lovely Shelly Schmidt at  My Creative Rumblings sent me in a RAK. They are a Tim Holtz production.
[If the Card Police heard how I create, I am sure I would be arrested for incorrect protocol;-)]

I coloured the die cut cage with Galaxy Gold ink, and painted the bird with Twinkling H2O paints.

The cage was 'suspended' with a gold ribbon, and the sentiment gold embossed on another die cut.

I managed to retain quite a lot of dimension on this card as the cage warped slightly when I inked it.

Lovely card, Maxine! The gold cage and shimmery bird is beautiful. I can see why you started with that paper-it is very pretty! The yellow CS ties it all together perfectly. Well done!

Simply beautiful Maxine! Love how you created such dimension with the bird and cage. I'm sure the card police would let you off on good behavior for creating such beautiful art with your "contraband" LOL

Lovely Maxine, and rest assured the card police would be arresting many of us for the way we create that is why it is art!

I just love this, Maxine. Your comments are always SO kind and encouraging, and I just want you to know how very much I appreciate your encouragement and kindness. I am most certainly not the greatest crafter out there, but you make me feel so special, and I thank you for that. I am blessed by your kindness and appreciate you for being a cheerleader for me. I've applied for a couple of Design Teams that I really do want, and I've just given it all to the Lord. I know He has my future perfectly planned, and it's so nice knowing that you support me and encourage me. Have a blessed week and thanks again. You are a joy to have in my life. May God bless YOU for being a blessing to me.
Hugs,
Karen
