Friendly Birthday

Welcome

I wanted a card for a friend, and something that did not take too long to make, and this card fitted the bill.

I started with the the stamp and vellum, embossing the sentiment in gold.

The ribbon was pleated along the top edge of the vellum, and a button adhered at the end - with a piece of pearle thread forming a bow threaded through it.

The sentiment was stamped onto matching green card and gold embossed.
I finished the card by mounting the vellum over a cream card that I had sponged the edges of, and adding some pearls for interest.

Maxine, I saw the thumbnail of your card but did a double take when I saw the close up. The embossing is wonderful and the sentiment is even more so. That pale green is so soothing.
We love to see your artwork; thank you for posting with us at Word Art Wednesday. Remember you can post up to FIVE projects this week.

Hi Maxine! I am always SO amazed at how awesome your embossed images always turn out. It seems that when I try, it always takes me several attempts and it never looks this good. It's definitely a talent (one I apparently don't have) and I love seeing yours. Your friend will love this, and it turned out SO pretty. That pleated ribbon at the top is super pretty too! Thanks for sharing with us, my friend. Also wanted you to know that I just prayed for you, and hope you're doing well. Keep in touch, and God bless you always my friend!
