Bling, Ribbon and a Rose

Welcome

I have another follower I would like to welcome, but  I think they may be following anonymously as I cannot find them, or their blog if they have one, so welcome, and I hope you enjoy visiting.

This card started with modelling paste through a stencil onto water colour paper. It was coloured with water colour paints, and a layer of Tattered Angels Grape Chalkboard spray followed - it gives a very subtle sheen to the background, and deepened the overall colour quite unexpectedly.

I then stamped an image from  Layers Of Color (now defunct) in cocoa ink onto off white card, and coloured it with chalks and cut it with a S/B die, Labels 14.  After creating the clouds, I then stamped and embossed the greeting.

Some bling from Prima was added,

and a piece of hem binding with a bow and flower added to complete the card.

I did try to take a photograph of the flower, which I had sprayed with Perfect Pearls Perfect Red, but the camera kept focussing on the background not the rose.

The main panel was mounted on a cream base, and the edges sponged with pink ink to complete the card.

Maxine, this is awesome! I nearly tried the watercolors on the card today (and wish I had tried the technique you did here, instead of the gold glitter I used!) You've gotten a beautiful effect with the paste & w/c, very soft (and no falling off glitter to mess about with!) and I love the look of the added design that is the focal image. So very pretty with the lovely jewel flourish & tiny rose. TFS & Hugs

This is very pretty Maxine. I love the layers of interest in the background, and all the elements of the topper. You are so good at using lots of different colouring mediums. I am so in love my copics that I forget to use other things sometimes. Kate x
