Anniversary Blues

Welcome

Yes, another anniversary card - I hope you don't mind.

The inspiration for the colours came from the original wedding colours.

Although this is a CAS card, it fought me, right down to a smudge as I was about to assemble the whole....

My trusty stamp was employed again, and I gold embossed it (again).

The flower is a Spellbinders die, and I cut three layers of vellum and two layers of blue, and painted them all with silver mist (rather than spraying them).
I attached it over an image of an owl that was in the embossing - I wanted to use the flourishes, but not the owl.

The only other colour was Tumbled Glass DI which was sponged on the edges of the embossed top layer, and the blue rinestones.

Sometimes you just have to make the cards that you need for Life. I enjoy seeing whatever you share with us. This one is not so dramatic as the beautiful ruby card earlier, but is equally lovely. The crisp white with the soft blue flower and pretty embossing...very wonderful. I really do like the way you've done that flower. It's great when you can get lots of mileage from any stamp, and this sentiment one is so pretty as well. Love the tiny pearls...looked great the way you've placed them! TFS & Hugs

I don't think I've ever made a card that didn't have some type of smudge on it Maxine! Maybe that's what makes them homemade!
This is totally gorgeous! That flower is so pretty and great idea to just have the flourishes showing and covering up the owl. A lovely, lovely card!
