Digi Topiary

Welcome

Firstly I would like to wish all who visit a blessed and joyful Christmas

I have need of numerous' thinking of you' cards at the moment, having just heard of two more extended family members who have been hit with serious illnesses.  I HATE CANCER!!

The image I used was a freebie from Ginny Maxam,  here at her blog

I coloured it with chalks/pastels, distressed and sponged the edges of the panels.

The floral part of the image was initially pink, but then I realised that the butterfly was also pink, so I added a layer of purple...

then masked the floral part of the image and sprayed it with a silver glimmer mist.  It can be seen in the above photo, and also the fact that I coloured the butterflies with metallic pens.  The finishing detail was the lace at the bottom of the card.

I used this as a class card to demonstrate how digi images can be re-sized, as the class images were smaller, and I also encouraged the class to colour and mount the images as they wanted too, so each card was different.

Hi Maxine, am very sorry that two more dear ones have cancer, it certainly is no respector of persons. All because of sin we have such grief and sorrow, but we also have that Blessed Hope of our Lords coming again and Hope a heavenly home with a perfect body. What a day that will be!!
Great digi card, well done. The Lord bless you and your dear ones especially this Christmas, as we remember the Christ child, God's Son, Who came from the Cradle to the Cross, for us. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

This is very pretty. I have a friend who has a hydrangea stamp that she uses in so many different ways/colors/designs. It's fun to experiment with what you have. And with digis you have the bonus of being able to resize what you have.

The silver glimmer is beautiful. This is one of those cards (like so many) where it's even more beautiful in real life, and the photos can never quite capture its true beauty. Your stamping talents always amaze me, Maxine.
Blessings,
Karen
