Black and White Birthday

Welcome

This card is a compilation of various company's products, but they came together beautifully.

I started with the idea of a channel for the sentiment, so die cut the borders using a lacy die, cutting into some gold and black splattered paper

I then measured where I wanted the sentiment and white embossed it on the black base card. The sentiment had longer 'tails' but I shortened them for this card by masking the stamp

Sitting the pieces together the card looked rather stark, so I white embossed the wee spray of flowers in white on black card, and die cut it

I then used the same die to cut a layer from gold paper, and off set it behind the black and white image

This photo shows some of the gold splatter in the background

The inside was decorated with a strip of the same gold paper.

Hello Maxine
It’s a beautiful card
Love how you combined it with the golden .
I’m at home a few days in quarantaine because of Covid 19 feeling a bit as if I have the flue hopefully it doesn’t get any worse .
When my symptoms are over by Tuesday I may go to normal life again so I have some crafting time now .
Hope You are well

This is an elegant birthday card Maxine! I love the white/black and gold color combo. I also love when a sentiment is laid in a "trench" like that. The lacy die is so pretty as is that white/gold paper you used. The little flower is so pretty and finishes this card off perfectly. I so love this! Hugs, Brenda

I love monochrome and this black and white card is classy and elegant. That is a lovely way of putting the sentiment between the two edging dies.
