Spring Pansies

Welcome

Another harbinger of spring is the humble Pansy, and I recently 'christened' a set of pansy stamps for this card for the Mid-month inspiration post at We Love Stamping,
for the March challenge, where the optional theme is Spring

I started by embossing a white background panel with a Brutus Monroe EF, blossoms

The blooms, buds and leaves were all coloured with my Polychromo pencils, and fussy cut.  When they were adhered to the card I popped some of the elements up for some subtle dimension, and also left the ends of the leaves 'free' to lift.

The images, and this gorgeous sentiment were stamped using Memento London Fog ink.  I edged the main panel and this small one with Memento Dandelion ink

The inside was finished with a floral washi tape.  It was quite pale, so I placed a second layer on the panel, making sure I lined up the wee flowers as I did so.

Very pretty card Maxine and I love that background embossing too. I just snapped a couple of pictures of our pansies here yesterday. Summer will be here quick and they'll be dying out any day. They're so pretty now though - and I love yours on this card!

What a gorgeous spring card Maxine! I love those pansy's, so sweet and colored up so pretty. The mini pansies we call "monkey faces" because they look like little monkey faces. LOL The big ones, not as much. That is a great embossing folder and your pansies look so nice on it, the sentiment is a beautiful font and so true! Hugs, Brenda

Pretty pansy card. we used to have pansy flowers in our yard. We don't even try to plant them anymore. The rabbits would eat them.

I always think of pansies as having lovely 'faces' and these pansies of yours are delightful. I love the colours you chose when choosing how to depict them.
A truly delightful card as always

If there is an old fashioned flower that I love one of them would be the pansy. I don't think there is a wrong color combination for them. The variety is huge. Your card is a perfect use of them. The embossed background really makes them stand out.

Hugs and Blessings
