Flipped Butterfly

Welcome

My apologies for not returning sooner - I have been chasing some of my other hobbies as well as making cards - some of which I cannot share yet.
I have also been falling down You Tube (crafting) 'rabbit holes', and have joined a few extra Facebook groups related to some of the crafts I do....
We also had a spate of visitors in the evenings, which meant no computer time, so I got way behind on visiting others as well, but here goes with sharing this fun butterfly.

The butterfly was made with one of Uniko's Ink and Flip stencils, the Geometric Butterfly

I made this early in the year, and think I used Memento Dandelion and Lady Bug inks

I stenciled onto some 'mop up' card, which I had also used to clean the back of a stencil on.. soft colours but with some interesting patterns in amongst them.

to finish I added some clear bling, and a sentiment from a Darkroom Door set of stamps

I finished the inside with a strip of the background card

I am linking this to:

Until next time

Beautiful card, Maxine! I love that butterfly. It's so creative with the geometric shapes. And that background is perfect! I'm glad you're doing some other hobbies too. I would love to see them when you can share! I've been working on some very old scrapbooking that needs to be done. But glad you took the time to share this with us at Word Art Wednesday! We love seeing what you've made! :)

Bold butterfly Maxine, and the background is guaranteed to coordinate when you use up the excess inkyness on it.

Maxine, I appreciate that you regularly leave kind comments on my blog, so decided to stop by your blog to say "hello!" I'm glad I did! Your card is a fun one. I've not seen a flip stencil and I'm intrigued. The bright colors help the butterfly to pop right of the page. And the bits of bling add a wonderful sparkle. I also appreciate seeing how you decorated the inside of the card. I have started to leave the inside of my cards blank so that I could use them for any purpose needed, or just to write a note. I think I'll follow your lead and add a bit of the paper used on the front to provide some continuity. So... thanks for that suggestion!
Have a blessed day, Kathy aka myasperations
