Good Evening to my guests - and may you know Easter's rich blessings. I do love hearing once again of Christ's death and RESURRECTION!
My card today will fit a couple of challenges, which is rather a surprise as I did not start with them in mind.
I was making another masculine card, and wondered how I could liven up the look of the card after I started with the brown (Kraft) base, sponged the edges with dark brown and gold embossed the scene (using an Our Daily Bread Designs set Keep My Lamp Burning).
I stamped the lighthouse on white card,
embossed it and then and cut it out and mounted on dimensionals.
These were thicker than I would have liked, so after stamping and embossing the bird section of the stamp, and cutting them out, I mounted them on multiple layers of double sided sellotape.
I then stamped and embossed the verse on the gold card, cut around it free-hand, sponged it with some brown ink, then mounted it over the raffia I had wrapped around the base of the card.
Over all I am pleased with this, and it fits the
Stamping Sisters In Christ challenge #32, based on the verse from Isaiah 40:31 about mounting up on wings of eagles..... and the challenge is to mount things up on the card.
and
Crazy for Challenges challenge #31 - to use a craft base for the card.
Thanks for calling by - I really enjoy knowing you have been, and I treasure you comments.
