Pink Monochromatic

Welcome - it is a blessing to have you visit.

I did not intend this card to be monochromatic, but it refused to be anything else.

I was inspired by a card on a challenge, but my stitching was nothing like the example I saw - maybe because I have done so much dressmaking over the years it is hard to think that 'crooked' may be 'right'.

The thread I used was a variegated metallic one, and then I painted between some of the lines with iridescent paint.

I randomly stamped this small scripture stamp over the background layer, and sponged the edges of the panels with the same ink.

The sentiment was gold embossed and cut, and sponged while the oval was still in the die.

Some of the corners of the card were rounded with a punch, and the card was assembled using some pink ribbon and liquid pearls for accents.

I am linking this to:

Thanks so much for calling by, and blessing and encouraging me with your comments.
May your day be blessed.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock - Pink and White
Stamp: Scripture from ODBD's Daffodil Tag set Sentiment unknown.
Ink: Spun Sugar distress ink.
Paints: Twinkling H2O's iridescent red, gold and blue
Accessories: Ribbon, liquid pearls, corner punch, spellbinders oval die metallic thread

Maxine, this is sensational!!! Love the "non-straight" stitching on here and know that it just shines with the metallic thread and paint. So unique and lovely! Glad you joined us for Shopping Our Stash too!!!

Hey Maxine: Well, monochromatic or otherwise, this is really pretty. I love the verse so much. And at the risk of sounding like a broken record....since you used scripture, I would really love to have you link up at Word Art Wednesday. I would just love to have you play along with us and share your gorgeous art.

Hope you're having an awesome weekend.

Thank you so much for joining in our brand new challenge 'words only' over on the CraftyMess challenge blog.
What a really lovely card, very unusual which makes it stand out for the right reasons. All te different details you have put in are gorgeous. I love te metalic thread and painting inbetween the 'crooked' stitching. The scripture stamping and the greeting tie it all together.
I hope to see you entering more of our future challenges over on our blog.

Sometimes great designs "just happen", you start out with one idea and end up with a totally different result. That's what's fab with the card making process. Your card turned out so different and beautiful!
