Experimental Tag

Welcome

I would love to extend a very warm welcome to Bonnie of This Creative Day who has become my latest follower - please pop over and visit her blog - her work is fabulous, and I am humbled that she has chosen to follow me.

I took my friends out of their comfort zones this month at card class, and taught them stenciling and ghosting techniques on tags - as well as a card project.

This was the second tag I taught, where we not only did a ghosted image using a stencil,

we then used modelling paste to accent the ghosting.  I waited until the paste was dry, then replaced the stencil and gently dabbed some Tumbled Glass DI onto the paste..

As I thought about the tag after class, I developed the concept with some washi tape,

a couple of typed and 'grunged' sentiments to add to the stamped sentiment,

some silver shimmer was sprayed on,

and some hand dyed, crinkled ribbon and iridescent ric rac stapled to the top finished the project.

Thank you for visiting my blog - may your day be blessed
Any comments you may leave are deeply appreciated.

This tax is a real work of art! So very nicely done. Since I struggle so with using embossing paste...I really appreciate all the work that went into making this lovely tag!
