Embossed leaves

Welcome

I was asked to make some more sympathy cards, and this is one of them.

I started with a  piece of cream card stock, and clear embossed some leaves onto it - then the card developed a mind of it's own and took off in another direct than what I had envisioned.

I had ribbon and a doily die cut already to go, but the card said no, just the embossed leave die cut and the sentiment - so that's what it got!!

The leaf was cut with a TH die, dipped onto Versamark and sprinkled with gold ep, heated, and the process repeated.  Love the outcome.

The sentiment was embossed on another scrap of the lemon (handmade paper) and die cut with a MB stitched rectangle.
All edges were sponged with Delicata gold ink.

What a beautiful Sympathy card Maxine. Love the clear embossing and then the one accent gold embossed leaf. It's serene and beautiful yet cheerful too. Truly gorgeous. Your comment on my blog about the Bunnings paint samples made me smile tonight! I'm pretty sure it WAS a Bunnings one. Have a gorgeous week hunny. Hugs, Wends x

This is really beautiful Maxine. Great technique with emboss resist for your leafy bacgkround. Love the soft yellow. And that single leaf dipped and embossed in gold is AMAZING! LOVE it! So much gorgeous texture and I love how the dark yellow of the center looks with the gold edging. Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!

A very beautiful card, and I love the extra leaf with the gold embossing detail. It certainly draws the eye, and like the replication of that single leaf atop the embossed leaf background. Really pretty for a sympathy card (or other occasions too). TFS & Hugs

Love those leaves, especially that centerpiece one. Very nice! And yes, sometimes those cards just speak up and tell you how they will be done.
