Cupcakes for Kezia

Welcome

And a special welcome to my newest follower Anne Dimitriou - I cannot find if she has a blog, but you can be assured of a warm welcome Anne.

This card was made using a NBUS set of stamps by Close To My Heart called Cutie Pie - they have languished in my stash for over 12 months :-(.

I started with some paper by Authentique, from the Promise bundle, which I randomly stamped the wee hearts over in a co-ordinating pink ink.

The cup cakes were stamped on a snippet of card in black ink and clear embossed.  The 'cup' part of the images were also stamped onto some paper from the same pad, fussy cut and layered onto the base images.  The 'icing" was painted with Sparkling H2O's, and topped with a clear rhinestone.

The sentiment was die cut twice from pink card, the layers adhered together and then onto the card. There were several layers of Wink of Stella applied.

The banner at the bottom of the card came in the set.  Before stamping it I checked that the alpha stamps would fit the squares, then once the banner was dry, I stamped and gold embossed Kezia's name in the banners, then painted around them with WoS too, which not only gave some more subtle sparkle, but also slightly darkened the colour of the paper.

Lovely coloured cup-cakes Maxine. I do like the raised script technique too. I found it quite difficult to match the layers up. I am sorry I don't visit you so often. For some unknown reason, even though I am a follower, I do not get notification of when you post, so I have just asked for e-mail notifications. Thank you for visiting me so faithfully. I always smile when I see your name pop up. Kate x

Oh yay, so happy to see you put this NBUS into Darnell's challenge. Love the dimension you've achieved on the cupcakes. The icing looks yummy, and loved that you even have the wrapper 'folds' so detailed. Kezia will love her name spelled out in gold, making it especially for her. (in case you wanted the info). I save my new followers' blog link in a spreadsheet! Hope all is going ok for you, big hugs & prayers coming your way. TFS

Hi Maxine, a super cute card, love the added hearts on the paper, if you hadn't said they had been stamped I'd of presumed that's how the paper came! Have a wonderful weekend... Megan
