Gold Trellis and a Tag

Welcome

Today I am sharing a card on which I used a new technique - die cutting the top of a tag.

I used a S/B Labels 11 Die, placing the strip of pink behind the die to cut the top, and leaving the rest of the card on top of the die,  I punched two small holes and cut between them to make a slot wide enough for the lace topper.

The white layer was a scrap I had already stamped with a favourite stamp, now discontinued, and coloured with chalks.
I simply added the verse and mounted it onto the pink.

The card was a layer of dp, over a strong pink base with a corner of a gold Lacy Trellis (Couture Creations) Die cut

I added the couple of other die cuts that I had in  my' promise box'  to form a layered flower in the corner,

The sentiment was gold embossed on a scrap and cut into a banner shape,  then layered over a pink banner.  I was very pleased with the outcome of this card.

I am linking this to:

(Lace is the topper of the tag)
(I was inspired by the black and pink colours and the flowers)

A great way to stick your tag on the card and not let it dissappear behind any paper! and such a delicate flower on top of it! Enjoy the (fine weather-) week!

Awesome design. Love that gold trellis overlay, and some good ideas on the tag construction. Love the 'macrame' look of the topper treatment. The image is beautiful and how well the black & white damask pattern looks with the hot pink and then the gold sparkle. Beautiful design. TFS & Prayers & Hugs

You should be pleased with the outcome of this card Maxine. It is lovely. I like the contrast between the bright pink card and the dp. And the gold trellis is just right to link the tag to the base. Kate xx
