Vintage Look Scripture

Welcome

It is once again time for a new challenge over at Word Art Wednesday

The scripture is a favourite of mine, and as it was in such a fine print I enlarged it before printing, and made a square card this time.  Not my normal!

I used a patterned paper from a Rosie's Pad for the background and for layering the scripture onto.  The doily behind the feature panel was too large, but any others I had were too small so I improvised by cutting it into quarters, overlapping and adhering them onto the back of the panel, lining up the corners, which gave in interesting finish, but I was happy with it.

The white edges were all sponged with a pink ink, and some rose pink sequins add a wee bit of sparkle

The lace I added to two of the sides was also used to tie the bow

I love the feminine/vintage look that this card has - I should do it more often!!

This is beautiful Maxine! I love how you used the doily, and the addition of the lace with your beautiful floral paper, really does give it a vintage feel. Such a beautiful font for the scripture too. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at The Paper Shelter!

What a stunning card Maxine!!! I love the colors and bits you have chosen for this card. The laces are stunning as are the papers. The sequins are soft and look like they belong right there without being over bearing. And then there is the scripture, love, love, love it! Hugs, Brenda

Sorry I have been missing from commenting of late - health problems which are on the up and up now.
Love the script you have used here, It nestles perfectly against the pink background you chose and I am amazed at how you used the doily - I would never have thought of that - truly inspired.
Blessings, Neet xx
