Tool Time Birthday

Welcome

I made this for the birthday of an avid handyman - a cabinet maker/joiner by trade, he has long since retired, but still enjoys using his tools, and often gets a call to rescue me when a particular cupboard door decides to pack a hissy fit!

The tools are a die cut from Frantic Stamper Small Hand Tools set, cut in a dark brown card, adhered to a white panel of which I had sponged the edges with Espresso ink.  I love all the small details in these die cuts.

The sentiment was a freebie magazine stamp that I  randomly stamped in Versamark ink and then brushed Copper Perfect Pearls over

I was happy with this card, and the recipient appreciated it too.

Yup, really great card Maxine, you’re right about those die cuts, I love that tool set, might need to investigate or not! I’d love to have a handy cabinet maker like that around! A blessing for you dear friend. You’ve reminded me I need to use those perfect pearls I have hoarded on my wee shelves above my desk, bad moi! It’s looks fab that bit too.
Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too.

THis is such a fun card, Maxine. You know that I really struggle with the masculine cards. I do have one football card coming this month for the new release at Joy Clair. It was WAY outside my "comfortable little design box", but I was really proud of how it turned out. Keep an eye out for that! My hubby even chuckled about it because he knows I don't like (American) football (not even one little bit). Anyway..it turned out great, and it's a cute stamp set, so.....I'm happy. Kinda like these adorable little tools you've used. They're just too cute, and you can't hardly help cut come up with a cute card. Any guy would LOVE this. Well, at least I know my hubby would. Thanks for sharing your creativity and love for crafting.
Hugs,
Karen
