Welcome
I am still working on sorting, purging and packing, and had overlooked the fact that I had to make a card for this week's Word Art Wednesday Challenge .... eek!
I had started on my desk yesterday, and came across this piece of green cardstock so used that for my base this morning - I then ratted in my pre-made background container and found this piece.
If I recall, it was made by sprinkling Brusho's in an embossing folder, misting it with water, placing a piece of watercolour paper in it and simply pressing it together by hand.
After printing the wonderful verse (available free on the WAW blog site) I trimmed it and lightly distressed the edges - both the background and verse were layered on deep red card, then mounted on the green base
The butterflies were from my jar of pre-cut butterflies, and I brushed some red ink onto the yellow one to make it 'fit' colour-wise.

Great background, Maxine. The big yellow butterfly seems happy on the flowers of the background. Hugs, my dear friend.
A super card Maxine, a lovely background - pretty colours.

Just loving this, you got me just before I go to bed, almost midnight down under. Great colours and gorgeous result. xx
Maxine, your background looks awesome. Fun card... so colorful!
Lovely card, Maxine! I know your purging is do to your move...but I think you have a lot of company these days. As I travel through blog land I hear a lot of others are doing that too right now. I'm trying to finish a lot of cards that I started ages and just finishing. Hope your packing is going well for you.
Wonderful and creative brusho background and a stunner of a card Maxine x.

Well done using all your "extra" bits to make this one Maxine. Great card. I stop in Tokoroa for breakfast/brunch yesterday on our way home from Taupo. Hope the purging/sorting/packing is going well.
A lovely card Maxine. I really wouldn't want to sort and pack my craft stash now. What a job. But you found two gems which have gone together to make a great card, and it is a lovely scripture verse too. Kate x
Loving that background Maxine, don't think I've ever tried sprinkling Brusho's trough a stencil, must try.

A lovely card and a new technique for me to try - the Brusho's and the folder. It makes for a very interesting effect and I am just thinking of all the folders I have and don't use.
Incidentally, the Scrappy Strip Technique you introduced me to (or should I say got me addicted to) went down a storm with my virtual group of crafters. Was probably the most successful technique we have had so far since Covid times. Thank you for pointing it out to me.
Blessings to you, Neet xx
Beautifully done. The verse is more than appropriate in this day and age. Good advise as well.
Love, Hugs and Blessings
