Welcome
It feels as though it has been weeks since I posted here - and the next few weeks be equally sparse, as I have sold my house and will be packing and moving in early December. I suspect that any posts I do make will be of cards that I have made previously and not shared.
I would also like to welcome Cheryl of Cheryl Quilts as a follower. Do pop over and look at her beautiful work.
This week is another wonderful scripture, designed by Karen Murray and available at the Word Art Wednesday blog, where a new challenge has started. Our sponsor is the wonderful
Sugar Pea Designs, who are providing a $25 voucher for the winner.
This card started when I was sorting through 'stuff' on my desk, and came across this front panel off a note card that I had received, and saved, some years ago.
I trimmed it down to fit the green card base that was also on the desk - yes I am a bit of a messy crafter, and I have a large desk too....
The scripture was already printed, and I cut it using a stitched circular die, then I sponged Bundled Sage DI around the edges before I removed the die.
I am really happy with the outcome as I feel it all fits together beautifully.

This is so beautiful..wow..so classic! Love the way you sponged the diecut in green, it gives it focus but also makes it part of the scene. Love this card!
The frontcard and quate look perfect together! Hugs, Gerrina
Very sweet, love the sentiment and awesome colours...great post. have a great weekend. ♥ xx
Hi Maxine,
How exciting that you are moving... My dad was in the Armed Forces and I loved to move and then when I got married, we moved countries every three years which was moving less often than when I was a child. I know most people don't like moves, but I did. And after 22 years of moving, I can say, I am done with it. Now we live in Singapore since our younger one goes to school here.
Coming back to your card, I am simply loving the elegance here and what a super idea to use an old card to create something so wonderful.
I like how you sponge into the nestie while the die is still in.
I haven't been blogging regularly since I am healing a health issue. It keeps me busy with multiple visits to naturopaths and Ayurvedic doctors etc. The good side is that I am eating healthy food and I am sure that I am on the mend now.
Lots of good energy coming your way to pack etc.
Love,
Monica
You are right; it does fit together beautifully. And right now it is good to dwell on the things that we are thankful for. It is a lovely card to encourage someone with. Kate x

Beautiful card Maxine, simply gorgeous!
I have not been a good blogger and it's been ages since I've been by to see you so was surprised to see you moved. I hope it went well and you are settled/settling in. Moving is hard! I remember when we retired and moved to the city from the farm... it darned near did me in and I don't want to have to do it again anytime soon.
Take care and stay safe!
Such a pretty card and what a beautiful scripture.
Take care
Blessings, Neet xx
