A Yellow Rose

Welcome

I have had this image printed out since the initial lockdowns when Covid hit last year - it was a freebie digital at the time, and I loved it, but was more than a bit intimated  when it came to colouring it!
Unfortunately I cannot recall who gave it, and I did not write the name on the back of it after printing.

It wasn't until after one of the tutorials that come with the 30 Day colouring Challenges that I picked up the courage to work on it, using my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils...
and then I had fun partially trimming it out.

the sentiment was a magazine freebie, and I gold embossed it, and hand cut the banner

I mounted the sentiment and image onto a cranberry slimline card base.

Added the faux gold stitching around it, and was happy!

The inside was finished with some gold washi tape.

I'll admit feely that any colouring intimidates me Maxine but I would be more than happy if it came our as beautifully as this lovely yellow Rose. Perfect for our Allsorts theme, thanks you so much for joining in again.

That is a beautiful rose and you have coloured it so well. I gave all my pencils to my sister because I didn't get on with them, but I like using the alcohol ink markers. However the pencils have given your rose a very soft natural look that I like. I also like the way you have cut and mounted it so altogether a super card. Kate xx

Brilliant card, Maxine, love it very much, I’ve a rose stamp like that and agree they do intimidate you! However you nailed it, well done, I do love lemon or yellow yet hardly ever use it, weird isn’t it,
Great work.

Thanks for Sharing, God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love, hugs Shaz in Oz.x

Wow Maxine, not sure why you were intimidated because you colors this beauty just perfectly! It is gorgeous and if I hadn't read that you did the coloring, I would have thought you printed already colored. I love the way you cut part of it out and left the other part on the white paper, makes a very visual and striking card! Hugs, Brenda
