Sunray Thanks

Welcome

I recently bought a new sunray stencil, and had to have a 'play', I stencilled it using four colours starting with the red , grading it out to orange and then a deep yellow and a pale yellow.

The stencil itself was smaller than my paper card, so I put a piece of gold tape top and bottom to fill up the length I required

I used the same gold tape to cover a snippet of card to die cut the sentiment - I layered that over red, orange and gold layers to match the rainbow

The die cut was then mounted over the leaf spray, which had been cut from dark green card and heavily 'winked'.   This panel was then mounted onto a dark blue card base

I glued a white panel edged with red inside, and then added another piece of gold tape.

What a lovely stencil and gorgeous card. I've been trimming my cards down to 5.5" when they are like this... makes it about the same size as the American A2 size. Just a 1/8" less in width. Your card looks amazing with the gold stripes.

Oh Miss Maxine this is an absolutely stunning card! I can see why you wanted to get the stencil and you have worked magic with it! I love the leaf and the pop of the sentiment! That’s interesting about the size of the stencil - all of mine are 6 x 6 and too big! Xx

What brilliant thinking to put that gold tape on the card. It would never have occurred to me to do that but how effective is it with those sun rays. With regards to how you have done the rays - they are fabulous and I must remember to use shmades of sunny colours next time I do one. A super card.
Blessings, Neet xx
