Welcome
I had a masculine card to make today and remembered this die that had been given to me by a friend.
It was originally a magazine freebie that she did not want.
The card started with cutting the die out of copper metallic paper.
There was some tan card sitting on my desk that I used for the base.
To 'ground' the car, I made two stripes across the bottom of the card by masking and sponging Walnut Stain DI across. The sentiment was stamped and copper heat embossed, and I added a stripe under that, using the same technique
The card looked very stark, so I scored one line across the top of the card above the sentiment, and two across the bottom, and lightly bushed more ink onto the bottom ones.
For some fun I created some exhaust smoke...
When I put the panel of white card inside, I added two scored stripes to that also.

That's really cute! My husband who is into old cars would love to get a card like that.
Love the detail of the vintage car and your added exhaust smoke! Great masculine card, Maxine. Thanks for sharing with Word Art Wednesday this week.
Love that your friend passed this die on to you Maxine, it is perfect for those masculine cards! I love how your card turned out! The car die has a lot of detail on it and I love that. I also love, love, love the exhaust smoke. I really like how you grounded your car, I also like how it looks like you have a shoulder of the road too. I think this will be a well received card for whomever gets it! Hugs, Brenda
That exhaust smoke is so cool LOL xx
Beautifully done. Excellent design.

Maxine: Terrific guys card...don't all guys love cars and fixing them? I know my guy does. He can spot cars and trucks from a long distance away and tell me their model name and year made!!!! Not the newer ones...those that are now considered vintage!! And if you have time, come check on the challenge blogs I started in late February and late March this year--Heart's Quest Challenge Blog and FarmQuest Challenge Blog. Would love to see you there. --Becca
Awesome masculine card -- that paper is perfect for the car die cut. Thanks for joining in at ATCAS

What a beautiful card - I love the antique vehicle!
Hi Maxine, a fabulous card and love the die, it is bigger than the usual sized ones in the Aussie magazines. The copper colour looks great! Have a wonderful week... Megan
I absolutely love this card. I cannot believe that car is simply a diecut. It is lovely and looks so good in the copper. The background is the perfect foil for it and as soon as I saw it it reminded me of an old car on the beach. Now I know that was not your intention but to me it looked so.
I love it!
Blessings, Neet xx
