Welcome
I first saw this technique here as demonstrated by Natasha Foote - I adapted her technique and came up with this.... for the challenge in our small NZ swap group - to use washi tape!
I randomly stamped the images from a magazine freebie set in Espresso ink, then effectively filled in the background with washi tape. The panel was then dry embossed, and mounted onto Kraft card.
The sentiment was from another magazine freebie set, stamped on a kraft snippet in Espresso ink. The hand cut banner was mounted on foam dots, with a twist of string behind it.
A few soft brown and ecru flat back pearls were randomly added to the front panel
I finished the white writing panel with a strip of the same washi - but wrote in it before I photographed it, hence the envelope covering the rest of the inside.

Such interesting technique Maxine, I have never seen something as this before! You tempts me to have a try to use a bit of my forgotten washi tapes :D Thanks for sharing. Love the sweetness of the peach plus white and kraft combo and the twist of rustic string!!
Distinctive texture applied to offset the random fall images make for a unique collage. Thank you for sharing your fall creation with us at Jan's Digi Blog Challenge. Good Luck and Happy Crafting!
hugs,
Jan
I hadn't seen this technique before, but looks good and will love to try it!
Love the washi and the design! Hugs, Gerrina
Maxine, this is such a creative use of washi tape - and it turned out fabulous. Your card is so pretty!
So pretty - and different! I love it Maxine. What a great way to use the tape too. I think we all have so much of it and yet don't use it that much. Love your card.

Maxine: This is the first time I've seen your featured technique to dry emboss washi tape!!! I really like the patchwork look of this as you applied the washi tape around the stamped images! The combination paired with the kraft browns gives that autumn harvest feel.
Lovely technique, Maxine. The warm colors and twine are perfect! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Word Art Wednesday this week.
A really unusual and effective creation Maxine.
