Making Multiples

Welcome

Warning - photo heavy post!!

I recently attended a function, and secreted away a napkin... I am gaining a reputation for doing that.

Next afternoon I had fun with it... and made two cards - the third quarter went onto the card crookedly, and the fourth quarter I could not use.  I have ideas for the third quarter...

Part 1

This first card is for the organiser of the function...
I coloured the around the edges of base white cardstock  with Versafine Clair Pinecone ink.

Popped a couple of rectangles of gold paper under opposing corners before mounting the panel featuring the napkin.
The Thanks (Simon Says Painted Thanks) was cut from card coloured with the same ink as the base,  covered with clear scotch tape for a faux embossed look once cut.  I then cut three white layers - once stacked together and slightly offset, I was not happy, laid the die on the gold paper, traced around it, and cut a  gold 'shadow' layer, and was very happy with the result.

A few coloured enamel dots scattered around, and the card was made.
I did put a thin strip of washi tape in the inside.

Part 2

This time I turned the panel 90 degrees to use it

The sentiment was a die cut using just one layer of the inked card

Three black half pearls and the card was done, except for

the verse I put on the inside - one that is very personal to the recipient.

I was very happy with my afternoon's crafting, and the cards have been delivered, and appreciated.

I am linking these to:

But just look what good use you put that napkin to Maxine, so effective. Been so long since I did any work with one and it's not because I don't have any.

Only thought of this earlier today as I picked up a pretty napkin... it was mine so didn't abscond with it.
Two stunning cards, reminds me of a Stampin up set from years ago. Not that I have it! 😂😂😂
Thanks for sharing, and may God bless you and keep you and all whom you love safe and well.
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz. X

I don't blame you for "collecting" napkins from functions Maxine, this one is a gorgeous one! They sure come in handy for making cards and are so many gorgeous ones out there. I LOVE your cards using this napkin!! Duh, why don't I think to trace a die to use as a shadow?!! Such a great idea Maxine, I need to tuck that into my mind-it will probably fall out but I will try. lol Love both of these cards, they are so serene. Love the inside scripture too. Hugs, Brenda

Both cards are wonderful and just show us that good stamps/digi images can be versatile for different occasions depending on how they are used. Terrific crafting! --Becca

Both cards, though for very different occasions work so well with the same images from the napkin. What a clever idea to use gold underneath opposing corners, it works so well.
Both cards are equally gorgeous and so suitable for who the recipient is.
Blessings Neet xx
