Welcome
My brother recently had a birthday, and I had to make his card in a hurry as I had got behind... seems to be the story of my life of late.
An old magazine set of freebies entitled For The Boys came to the rescue yet again - my brother has ridden motorbikes for approximstely 58 years, and has just recently had to give up due to health reasons, so this was a very appropriate image to use, and the card itself came together quite quickly.
I used some silver paper for the background, embossing it with an old Cuttlebug folder. The images were silver embossed on a snippet of black card and fussy cut, I also ran a silver pen around the words.
To ground the motorbike I added some folded red organza ribbon and layered silver ribbon over it.
The motorbike image was mounted on foam dots, with the wheels sitting just above the silver ribbon.
The inside of the card was finished with some silver washi, which does not photograph well.
My brother appreciated the card!

I think the question in the post title depends who's riding the bike! It's a perfect masculine card with the steel grey and silver colour.

Looks like that always here too so at the end of this season (so twice a year) I like the card; great contrast with the background and bike! A real good mann card! Hugs, Gerrina
Oh WOW! Maxine, this is absolutely perfect! The silver paper and embossing folder you used are perfect for the image - and even the washi tape coordinates too. LOVE your card and know your brother will love it too. It can remind him of all those rides when he was younger.

Great masculine card design, Maxine. The metallic embossed background really makes the bike pop! Thanks for sharing at Word Art Wednesday this week.
So good.
That silver embossed background is just perfect for this card. What a brilliant card for your brother xx
What an absolutely fabulous masculine card! Love that metallic, textured background! Thank you for sharing with us at SAS4Kids.
Great card Maxine! The embossing folder you used is one I love to use for male cards as it's just like tyre tread pattern.

Cool card. Glad your bro liked it :) xx
Lovely card. I love that magazine and the stamps - always good for those tricky masculine cards.
How fun that your brother road motorcycles for 58 years Maxine! Although you couldn't pay me to get on one, had enough of that when I was a little tot. LOL Love your card for your brother, it is perfect for him. The silver, black and pop of red is so eye catching. A nice masculine card for sure. Even your washi gives the illusion that it is a bike tire track! Love it! Hugs, Brenda
Terrific masculine birthday card. I'm sure it must have been hard for him to give up his beloved motorbike!
Thanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. Once you’ve finished playing on the swings, meet me and Di up in the Treehouse for a nice mug of hot chocolate! xxx
This is an awesome card for your brother Maxine.

You are NOT alone...One of the sayings that I say the most is...
I'm always a day late and a dollar short... (because it's often true.
Pretty cool design here , fabulous backgrounds and colours
That embossing folder is just perfect to use with the image of the motorbike. What a fabulous image that is too and I love how you embossed it in silver on black cardstock.
A great card for your brother.
Blessings, Neet xx
For a "rushed" card, this turned out amazing! VERY macho and rugged for a former "biker". Well done! Thanks for playing along with us over at PIP Challenges!

This is SO COOL, Maxine. What an amazing idea God gave you for this awesome card. What an incredible gift He's given us in art. I'm blown away when I see how He has blessed so many gifted people and how He's inspired them to create the most amazing art.....like THIS AWESOME CARD. I love the texture of the metal background, the silver embossing of the motorcycle (again, you GO girl) and the overall design. What a stunner. Thanks so much for sharing this super cool card with us at Word Art Wednesday. I'm always so grateful for it, and I appreciate you. Hugs from Las Vegas, NV.

A great "guy" card, you brought it all together beautifully or perhaps handsomely! I'm sure it was a "winner" with the recipient. Kathy
